La Voz de Berkeley strives to voice the opinions, findings, and theories of those underrepresented by mainstream media. As Xican@/Latin@ students, we want to address issues that affect our community, other people of color, and traditionally disenfranchised groups. To help reach the extended community, we translate several articles that we believe are most relevant to our Spanish-speaking community. Articles and images featured in our publication cover politics, art, and culture that reflect the diverse opinions of our own writers and artists. As Xican@/Latin@ students, we take the responsibility of questioning and challenging unfounded images that permeate mainstream media within and beyond campus. La Voz de Berkeley aims to provide an open space for expression and discussion about the social, cultural, economic, and political forces that affect our lives. ¡La Voz es tu voz! //
